Welcome to Lydius
NRPR

The Gate is a SAFE ZONE, no RP is honored here.

My four commercial voyages had been among the exchange islands, or free islands, in Thassa, administered as free ports by members of the Merchants. There were several such islands. Three, which I encountered frequently in my voyages, were Teletus, and, south of it, Tabor, named for the drum, which it resembles, and, to the north, among the northern islands, Scagnar. Others were Farnacium, Hulneth and Asperiche. I did not go as far south as Anango or Ianda, or as far north as Hunjer or Skjern, west of Torvaldsland. These islands, with occasional free ports on the coast, north and south of the Gorean equator, such as Lydius and Helmutsport, and Schendi and Bazi, make possible the commerce between Cos and Tyros, and the mainland, and its cities, such as Ko-ro-ba, Thentis, Tor, Ar, Turia, and many others.

Lydius has a populace of over 300,000 and her fleet size is roughly 1700 ships. These range from light galleys to heavy war ships. Being a free port, Lydius holds no alliances with any other city, we deal strictly in trade agreements. We go by the weight of your coin when you enter our port.
The coin base of Lydius is 8 tarsk bits to 1 copper tarsk.
Wharfage fees are determined by the cargo the vessel is carrying.
In regards to slaves and coins the city follows the Merchant Laws. The cities stone for measurement is taken to the Fair every year and checked.

Once entering Lydius you fall under Lydius city laws, bringing laws from other cities and trying to enforce or use them here will be ignored.
Beyond this point ignorance of the rules is no defense.
