~NRPR~

::Over View::
1: Hunjer is a Gorean city built using the guidelines of the books written by John Norman. It is a non roleplay city, with some locations designed for the roleplayers that wish to use them.

2: Hunjer relies on the assumption that it is a living city, with hundereds of city dwellers and visitors. Thus, all role-play within Hunjer must take this assumption into consideration. Role-play that fails to consider this assumption may be declared invalid.

3: There is but one rule that should be universal on Gor, the sovereignty of a person's home. The rules of a person's home always take precedence in that home. No outsider can change, modify, ignore, or replace a person's rules in their home. But, as on Gor, the rules of one's home extend no further than the boundaries of that home. Once you leave your home, you must then follow the rules of whatever home you visit. If a person dislikes the rules of another's home, then they are free to not visit that home.

4: A "Capture" involves any attempted theft, kidnapping, forced subdual or improper taking of a free person or slave.

5: A "Kill" involves any attempt to injure, maim, or kill a free person, or owned slave.

6: Capture/Kill attempts may only occur on pages designated for Gorean Role-Play. Attempts made on any other pages are automatically invalid. The following pages, without limitation, are invalid places for Capture/Kill attempts, whether marked or not: All non-Gorean pages, All Gorean educational pages, All Gorean message boards, All NRP pages, and All Real-Time Gorean pages.

7: Capture/Kill attempts may not occur in Observe.

8: Capture/Kill attempts may not occur through Instant Messages, Emails or on Message Boards.

9: Capture/Kill attempts may not occur in a Private Room, Lifestyler rooms, NRP, or Password-Protected Room. However if a person enters a private or passworded room without having properly gained access they are subject to being killed or captured in a single post.

10: People with “Gor Learning”, “Gor Observing” or similar language in their profiles are immune from Capture/Kill/Arrest attempts but may not engage in any such attempts themselves either. The moment a person begins to roleplay as a Gorean they become subject to caps and kills.

11: Persons who are AFK/BRB may not be the targets of Capture/Kill attempts. But, a person who is AFK/BRB must clearly indicate that status in some visible manner, such as by turning their avatar upside down, having the words on their avatar or removing themselves to obs.

12: These rules only apply to roleplayers. Non Roleplayer locations are to be fully respected. A non roleplayer visiting on a roleplay page will be immune from the roleplaying rules and activities.

::Laws of Hunjer::
1: These laws are expected to be respected when within this city.

2:  This is a Gorean location though non Goreans are welcome to visit nor are tags required to be recognized as Gorean. You act Gorean you will be aknowledged as Gorean.

3:  For roleplay purposes those that feel the need to bear special tags in thier info, defining them as a seperate community, will not be recognized for roleplaying. They may not capture, kill, trade or interact in a roleplay fashion within the city.[examples;CoM, CoGor, TM or PoG.]

4: The pages of Hunjer are Gorean, for role playing and interaction as Gorean lifestylers, If the room is a role play location the guest should confine thier activities to IM's when other Goreans are present and doing business. Any discussions pretaining to the world itself should be left to the Goreans present. A guest is not a Gorean and should not butt into the affairs of a Gorean. However Lifestyler locations the discussions are open to all in the room.

5:  Hunjer does not recognize OOC [Out Of Character] Goreans that do not desire to be involved in roleplaying may have NRP in the first page of thier info..

6:  Hunjer recognizes Virtual Guards for Free Women.

7: As Hunjer is a city of the north Free Women are not required to wear veils.

8:  A member of the Black Caste must have the mark of the dagger visible on thier forehead and be recognized by thier caste before they will be allowed to fulfill thier contract.*See additional laws on BC*

9:  Hunjer recognizes the "obs safe" policy. Anyone who is in obs is safe from all activity within the room.

10:  Wilderness of Gor is sites that are clearly marked as travel pages or wilderness designed for Gorean roleplaying.

11: Owners are responcible for thier slaves actions, any misconduct will be brought to them to be dealt with as is seen fit by the Free parties involved.

12: Any action that occurs within Hunjer that requires validation (i.e. caps kills ect. ect. ect.) and cannot be settled by the parties involved will be brought before the Regent. Text must be presented to him and he will have final say on if it is deemed valid or not.

13: Theft of anothers property (slave) is a crime. If caught doing so the thief will be put in chains and judged for thier crime accordingly.

14: Any actions that are deemed needing to be judged would first be brought before a city magistrate, if one cannot be found it would then be brought before the city Regent.

::Dualing::
Dualing is when one has created and uses more than one persona or character in Gor at the same time, with the intent to deceive and hurt others. Gender bending also falls under this catagory. (If the person behind the screen is doing so without being honest to those they are having sexual involvements with.) This is unacceptable and known dualers will be announced to all, all names known and shunned by the group as a whole. In some cases dualing is allowed, a thief in disguise or a BC studying thier mark, may use a different name to enhance the roleplay they are involved with. As long as both names are not in chat at the exact same time this will not be viewed as dualing. If a hunt is setup and people take on the roles of characters for interaction along the way this also would be deemed not dualing (the persona of the moment might be killed off but the person's actual character would not be effected. A BC or thief killed while in a disguise would die.)

Dualing is not condoned within this city and any caught doing so will be put to death and all known names will be posted to the boards.

::Rules of Combat::
1:  Non Role Play Zones will be respected at all times.

2:  To start a Battle You must state the name of the person You are attacking i.e.:  Drawing sword from sheath looks at John Doe with intent to kill.

8:  The person who is attacked is allowed to defend without posting name of attacking person as they have stated thier intent. However if there is more than 1 attacker the victim must name target

9:  Only Gorean weapons will be recognized in battles.

10:  No use of the no chat bubble and Obs block as there must be witnesses to battles, No use of laggers or booter will be accepted.

4:  It takes minimum of 5 posts before placing the collar.

5:  Capture is Free form Turn OR T5, one action per post.

6:  The person being captured may try to escape, this requires 2 posts in T5 back to back not interupted of leaving the room.

7:  The person is considered AFK or lagged if he/she has not posted anything in 4 posts (2 minutes for turn style). If found he/she is using this to avoid capture the capture will be consider valid.

::Arrest Laws::
1: An Arrest is the legal apprehension of an individual for the suspected violation of a City Law. An Arrest does not qualify as a “Capture.”

2:  An Arrest must be made by someone possessing sufficient legal authority within a City to be a valid arrest. Such persons include City Rulers and anyone else who has been specifically delineated as such on that City’s webpage.

3: An Arrest can only be made for suspected violations of laws listed on the City webpage. If a Law is not listed there, then an Arrest cannot occur. Certain laws though are assumed to exist in all cities, even if not specifically listed on a city’s website. These include, without limitation, such basic crimes as murder, assault, arson, destruction of property, theft and fraud.

4: To effectuate an Arrest, a legal authority must announce the imminent Arrest to the suspected violator. That person should then voluntarily surrender to the legal authority. The arrested person will then be bound to await a Hearing.

5: If a person wishes to resist their Arrest, they will automatically be considered a Fugitive and a Warrant is thus considered to be issued for their arrest.

6: A Fugitive loses any protection afforded in the city where they are a Fugitive. Thus, if a person resists Arrest, a Capture/Kill attempt can be immediately made against that person. If the person escapes from the city, and later returns, they are still considered a Fugitive until they surrender to a legal authority in that city.

7: Fugitives though are still bound by any city laws in place. A Fugitive is viewed as an Outlaw and if caught will be treated as such.

8: After a person is Arrested, there will be a Hearing held to adjudicate whether there was a violation of a City Law. That Hearing should occur within five days of the Arrest. This date can be extended due to circumstances. Evidence will be considered and the defendant is allowed an Advocate to speak on their behalf.

::BC Laws::
1: A member of the Black Caste *must* be recognized by those established within HalSoft and have completed thier 30 days of training.

2: The BC must be realistic in thier course of actions for thier hit to be viewed as valid. [No jumping in from obs with loaded weapons shooting then returning to obs will be excepted.]

3: The contract must be a valid contract. [ The person that pays for the contract must have been in contact with the target and have a valid REASON for the contract to be placed, it must be within the characters knowledge and issues, NOT personal things that the persona would not know or have dealt with.

4: No kill will be deemed valid if the BC has not taken the time to be seen around the mark, thus a BC showing up out of the blue and killing someone then vanishing again will not be seen as plausable nor realistic role play and will not be honored. A Killer would study thier mark before they carried out thier contract.

5: The Killer has to have been in the room more than once, sitting and interacting with those present. Sitting in obs and observing the mark do not qualify for the above.

6: Threats or harrasement in IM's will not be excepted nor will attempts to kill a person. The Killer must carry out his actions within the open room.

7: The Killer must still state intent, this allows for those in the room to be aware who the mark is and act accordingly.

8: Only places a Killer will not be allowed to attempt to fullfil thier contracts will be in rooms tagged nrpr, or passy rooms.

9: Any disagreement on a contract will be taken up with the head of the Killer's caste and the Admin/Regent of the city and or 1st Sword, between the 3 they will determine the decision and it will be final.

::Free Women::
1:  Free Women are not required to wear veils here.

2:  Enslaving a Free Woman when she has commited no crime, is a crime, the person involved will be brought before the city Regent and tried.

3:  A Free Woman maybe enslaved as punishment for crimes they have commited, this also is upto the city Regent.

4:  Panther Girls or Talunas would not be found in Hunjer.

5:  Free Women that wish to visit out of the city must have a escort with them. (This means using VG's if need be.)

6: A Free Woman being mouthy is not a crime. However a Free Woman should remember her role and place and know if she insults a mans honor she can be captured and collared for it.

7:  A Free Woman wearing a nude av or found acting in a slave like manner will be chained and brought before the city Regent to determine thier fate.

8:  A Free Woman acting in a slave like manner is not safe from the laws of the city and even in nrpr's improper behavior will be dealt with accordingly by the men there at the moment (i.e. the woman may find herself placed on ignore and shunned if she should decide to return to visit).

::Page Tags Laws::
1: NRPR = Non Role Play Room. This is a Combination of Role Play and Lifestyle City and as such no roleplay will be honored in any room with the LifeStyle/NRPR tag on them.
These are non roleplaying locations and no captures or combats will be allowed or deemed valid when vivisting them.

2: RPR = Role Play Room. These require a person be in character at all times. Use common sense when roleplaying here, if it isn't plausable it will be ruled invalid.

3: No tags = These places are wilderness areas and you enter them at your own risk.

4:  Private rooms = These rooms are passworded and not meant for public access. It is adviseable when coming across such a room to not go there unless invited first. All passworded rooms are viewed as NRPR rooms and if someone hacks into these rooms any actions they attempt will be ignored and ruled as invalid.

5:  Hunjer does not condone 1 post kills.

6:  Any action that occurs within Hunjer that requires validation (i.e. caps kills ect. ect. ect.) and cannot be settled by the parties involved will be brought before the Regent. Text must be presented to him and he will have final say on if it is deemed valid or not.

::Travel Pages::
1: A Travel Page simulates the actual travel that would occur between cities and other geographic locations on Gor. This travel might be by tarn, tharlarion, wagon, ship or simply walking. All Travel Pages must be clearly marked as such.

2: Any person traveling from one city or geographic location to a different destination must use a Travel Page to do so. That person moves onto a Travel Page and must remain there for a time before going to their destination. They must abide by the roleplay guidelines or stay on the page for the amount of time it would take for thier means of travel to pass.

3: While on a Travel Page, you must clearly indicate your mode of travel, be it tarn, tharlarion, walking, etc. This can be done in the first page of your profile, by your AV, by a tour, by a game, or in the description of a Mega. The mode must be visible to anyone on that page. You cannot simply make a post stating your mode of transport. If no other means is indicated, then you are considered to be walking.

4: All Travel Pages are Unsafe pages. That means that Captures and Kills are permitted on all such pages, provided the rules for Travel Pages have been followed.

5: To Capture/Kill someone on a Travel Page, you must be using a similar mode, or better, of transportation. This mode must be in operation as soon as you enter the Travel Page. For example, a person traveling on tarn can only be intercepted by someone else riding a tarn. A person on a land mount can only be intercepted by someone else who is mounted. A person who is walking can be intercepted by anyone.

6: The Capture/Kill rules used for each particular Travel Page will depend on the owner of that page. Each Travel Page should specify which Capture/Kill rules are in effect on that page.

7: Travel Pages are not needed for travel to non-Gorean pages or to non-roleplay pages.

8:  Each City/Home Stone/Person that wishes to take advantage of Travel Pages must create at least one Travel Page of their own and use that Page regularly. If you do not do so, then you may not use other person’s Travel Pages to engage in Captures/Kills. Any such Captures/Kills that you attempt on Travel Pages will be ruled invalid. Only those willing to support and commit to this rule can and should benefit from it.

::Virtual Guards::
1:  A Virtual Guard is a non-player character, a simulation of a bodyguard, which many Free Women of the cities would hire while traveling.

2:  A Free Woman of the cities may possess up to a maximum number of Virtual Guards based on her Caste and status, according to the following parameters.
Free Woman of the High Castes:  2 Virtual Guards
Free Woman of the Merchant and Slaver Castes:  3 Virtual Guards
Free Woman of all other Low Castes:  1 Virtual Guard
Free Woman who are City Rulers, FC’s of City Ruler’s or the daughters of City Rulers:  Up to 5 Virtual Guards.

3:  A slave may also have a virtual guard in thier info.This is to reflect the escorts a wealthier man would have for his property.

4:  A Free Woman must list the number of Virtual Guards she possesses in the first screen of her profile.

5:  Virtual Guards may not be used for offensive purposes. For example, they cannot be used to capture or kill anyone

6:  The effect of the Virtual Guards can be nullified if the attackers possess numbers greater than those of the Virtual Guards. If a Free Woman has 2 Virtual Guards, then if she is attacked by 3 men, she no longer possesses the protection of the guards. In that case, the Virtual Guards are ignored when adjudicating any Capture/Kill attempt.

7:  Virtual Guards offer no protection to a Free Woman against a valid arrest for the violation of a written city law.

::Slaves::
1:  If a slave shows disrespect the owner is to be addressed to discipline thier property. If the owner is not present any actions the Free takes will be saved and reported to the slaves said owner and any compensation that is required will be made.

2: The mistreatment/abuse of slaves is not permitted. It was not done in the books it will not be done here.

3:  Use of a slave must be granted by the slaves owner unless the slave is unrestricted, then it is assumed the slave is open to anyone, however the owner is to be compensated at the owners request.

4:  A unowned slave is not safe anywhere in the city that is rpr tagged, if found they are subject to being captured.

5:  slaves are not required to speak in the 3rd person in Hunjer unless it is thier owners wishes. The owner has final say on how the slave should act at all times.

6:  Any slave found in the city or it's surrounding area that is a runaway will be captured and chained until such time as they can be returned to thier rightful owner. If the owner does not wish the slave returned the slave will be sold. Repeated offense of this will find the slave hamstrung if not killed.

7:  slaves may do short but proper entrances (keep it to 1 post).

8:  If the room is busy slaves are to keep thier greetings brief..

9:  If a slave has restricted in thier info it is to be TOTALLY respected.

10:  Hunjer recognizes the "obs safe" policy. Anyone who is in obs is safe from all activity within the room.

::Slaves General::
Slaves must ask to enter, (IM a free of the city from obs first.)

Upon entering room the slave should wait at the "doorway" kneeling until a free gives them permission to move and greet.

The slave may then move to the center of the room and may then greet the free present.

All slaves are to go to obs if a free commands it, no questions asked! (this exit should be a 1 post action.)

All slaves will request to brb, upon returning they are to quietly slip back into the room. If needing to be away for more than 10 minutes, the slave is to either go to obs, place on a brb av, or flip thier av upside down.

If an emergency the slave must state 911 and then go to obs.

Slaves will ALWAYS show respect to ALL Free Goreans, at all times or face the wrath of punishment or death.

Slaves will greet as follows in Laura, the city Admin (Beast), The 1st sword, then the other residents, men first. Visiting FM present by postion of authority [i.e. a Ubar or another visiting Admin would be greeted first.], then FW, followed by slaves. They will of course respect the rules of other Homes they visit and greet accordingly.

::City Slaves::
When entering chat the slave is to locate any city member and IM them, then go where they are told. If no one is on line the slave is to go to the city and wait.

They may do chores, post to board, or spend time studying. Slaves will be expected to do 2 chores a week minimum and post them on the city board and any other chore, assignment or training requested.

If a slave is going to be off line for any length of time they will email thier owner or the city Admin so they are not deemed a runaway.

Laura will deem a slave a runaway if there are no posts or contact within a 48 hour period. For the first 4 weeks a Hunjer slave is not allowed to be personally owned nor leave the city (unless with a city member.)

They may not lap or join tours unless it is a resident free or it is authorized by a city resident. New slaves are not allowed to fur for the first 4 weeks, they are not allowed to serve for the first two weeks. This is training time.

Slaves will be killed on sight if seen handling weapons, unless they have been instructed to pick it up by thier owner, they must only use the tools provided for cutting, meat, wood etc.

Slaves will never speak the name of any Free, if they are wishing to address a particular Free, they must indicate by looking towards them...eg *looks to the feet of Master Beast* if more than one Free is present in the room.

Personal slaves answer to thier owners first and maybe restricted.

The city has a 1st slave, the beast is to be viewed as the messanger for the free and her duties are to teach new slaves, assign chores and enforce discipline when needed. If no free are present she is to be addressed as mistress (lower case m) and her orders are to be followed as if the free was directly giving them. Any disagreement with her actions the slave will save the text and present it to her Master for him to determine the course of actions to be taken.

::Slave types::
Tags in a slaves info will mean the following...

Personal: Is a personal slave and only does as thier owner allows or wishes.

Pleasure: This slave has been trained to serve in all ways, including the furs.

*All slaves upon request after 2 weeks may serve food and drink if requested (except personals).

In the case of personals the owner may have the slave place in thier info what they are allowed to do. This info maybe listed on the more info page.

Slaves will learn to serve only what would be plausable for the location they are living in. Males would NOT dance!

Pages that are of another City, Pride, or wilderness are OFF LIMITS unless permission has been granted by the city Free.

As Hunjer does not recognize non Gorean pages as role play a slave may travel to them but must not carry Gor in info and if a Gorean is present remain in obs (unless the location is tagged safe.)
